What's with the flowers?
As the Talking Heads song "Once In A Lifetime" says: And you may ask yourself-well...how did I get here? , you are possibly thinking the same thing about me. My answer would be, "I have been wondering the same thing."

The message behind the flower philosophy is simple. I was born in the month of June and therefore I named my website after the month and day I was borne. The flower for June is a rose and when I was a child I resembled the "rose fairy" drawn by one of my favorite artist's, Cecily Mary Barker. I have always loved roses and in addition to that I have rosy cheeks.

Finally, there is my name connection to the whole project. My first name is Mary. I think the one of the first songs I ever heard with my name in it was "Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary. How does your garden grow?" So my garden is my art, my creativity, my design, my reason for living. The flowers on June Second Designs, represent my ability to adapt, change, blossom and bloom with the artistic world of design. Eventually the flowers of ideas die, but with the right kind of nurturing and care, they will come up again the following year more beautiful then the last.
